Misha Michel is from the beautiful and diverse city of Miami, FL where she trained with Maribel Fruitstone and Traci Young-Byron. In Miami, she was a part of the Young Contemporary Dance Theatre(YDCT) where she was featured on Lifetime Series Step It Up and Bring It! as the YCDT SUPAStarz captain. As a recent graduate from Florida State University, she obtained her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance as a first-generation C.A.R.E student. Misha's extensive involvement in various activities and organizations on and off campus lead her to achieve her goal as a mentor to kids in the Tallahassee community through dance at the Maddox Youth Dance Company. She has performed for Ann Carlson, Millicent Johnnie, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Anthony Burrell and more. Professionally, she attended intensives with Alvin Ailey, Abraham In Motion, the Summer Leadership Institute and toured internationally as enrichment staff on the MSE Preziosa Cruise line. As a current member of StepAfrika! Misha hopes to uplift women through her passion and exploration of the Black Body and instill self-confidence and love in women amongst her community. She is a proud member of the Hardworking Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
